Weekend Roundup 17th – 19th March 2023
St. Patrick’s Weekend, saw Tyrrelstown GAA Club particpate in the Blanchardstown Parade on Friday 17th. Once again, club members came out in force to proudly march behind our flag and decked out in our colours; Navy, Green & White.
The rain over the last two weeks has left many Dublin pitches waterlogged and unplayable and for the second weekend in a row most of our teams had to postpone their fixtures.
Our U11 Girls did get to play on Satuday 18th, away to Naomh BarrΓ³g CLG. Boosted by some of the girls from our U10s team, they put on a great display but could not get the result their performance and bravery in the terrible conditions deserved.
Our U15 Girls travelled to Ballymun Kickhams on Sunday 19th for the only other game to proceed this weekend. Down by 10 points at half-time, the girls dug deep and put on a battling performance to get to within two points, before Kickhams found the net a few times as our girls just ran out of juice. Final Score BK 7-5 TYT 4-2.
Pub Quiz
We’re hosting our first pub quiz for Tyrrelstown GAA on April 1 in Coolquay Lodge.
Fun is guaranteed… especially with the round of Tyrrelstown GAA questions (which of our mentors was an extra in the movie “Cal”?)
We’re also working on arrangements to have a bus to bring people there and back – details to be announced.
People can reserve (and pay for tables) with Richard 087 620 2276.
Weekend Roundup March 4th and 5th 2023

- U13 Girls defeated Kilmacud Crokes 3-14 to 2-6
- U15 Boys bagged their first win of the season away to Bohernabreena St Columba’s on a scoreline of 2-12 to 2-6
- U15 Girls roared back from 9 point half-time deficit to defeat Robert Emmets by a single point 3-8 to 4-4
- U16 Boys are 2 for 2 in their league campaign as they saw off Clontarf on Bellgree Pitch by 7-8 to 2-6
- U16 Girls got their season off to great start with an away win to Naomh Barrog scoring 4-5 to 2-4
We had U8s, U9s, U10s, U11s and U12s Boys and Girls teams all in action this weekend and with many of them at home, Tyrrelstown Park was a noisy, fun filled park on Saturday morning
Our Academy for 4 to 6 year olds was also creating plenty of happy sounds on the All-weather pitch between 10 and 11 Saturday morning.

Weekend Roundup Feb 25th & 26th 2023
Katie, Ali and Molly representing on the Dublin Camogie U14 Development panel.
Our U15s Boys and Girls were both in action this weekend and both sadly on the wrong side of the scoreboard. But lots learnt and huge pride in club and community shown.
Our U8s and U9s Mixed teams and U10s Boys were the only other teams with competitive action this weekend.
Our U11s and U12s girls had an internal match to finalise their preparations for the start of the camogie season.
The future is bright with these young stars shining in the Navy, Green and White.
